Vegan MoFo - Day 15 - #TVK23

Today's Vegan MoFo prompt is "OMG, Barack Obama is coming over because he knows you make awesome vegan food! What are you going to make?"... Going back to the whole me-not-liking-people thing, this is a pretty unlikely scenario, so instead I'm going to tell you about this month's box from The Vegan Kind.

inSpiral Smokin' Coconut Pecks
Nothing But Strawberry and Banana
Creative Nature Heavenly Cacao
Faith in Nature Coconut Shampoo
Designed2Eat Fudge Brownie
Nom Salted Maple Popcorn
Iced Tg Green Tea

inSpiral Smokin' Coconut Pecks

I've not opened these yet but they sound amazing - coconut chips that have been coated in smoked paprika and lime! Yum! I feel like I want to put them on some pasta or something, but I'm pretty sure I'll be eating them straight out of the packet...

Nothing But Strawberry and Banana

Nothing But produce a range of freeze-dried fruit snacks that all sound delicious. I just can't get my head around the texture of freeze-dried fruit! I have a few packets of Nothing But fruit in my cupboard, waiting for me to make granola out of them... Look out for the recipe! Coming soon! (Maybe...)

Creative Nature Heavenly Cacao

I've really enjoyed the other Creative Nature bars that I've tried (I've been sent at least two by The Vegan Kind before), so I'm really looking forward to this one. Packed with dark chocolate, goji berries and cranberries, I think it will be the perfect post-workout snack!

Faith in Nature Coconut Shampoo

This shampoo smells amazing! I love coconut anything, and I'm always pleased with Faith in Nature toiletries so I'm really looking forward to testing this out!

Designed2Eat Fudge Brownie

This gooey fudge bar is a paleo snack made with 100% natural ingredients. It was lovely! I was a little skeptical, thinking it might be too heavy but it was the perfect consistency!

Nom Salted Maple Popcorn

I was sooooo looking forward to this popcorn. I love Nom bars and had seen on facebook that they were bringing out this flavour popcorn. It had a nice flavour, although a bit too delicate in my opinion - I was looking for a really full salted maple flavour. But that's not to say it wasn't good! I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Iced Tg Green Tea

This one is going to Mr Hatter, as I don't like green tea. I think it's a great idea though, for those of you who like green tea and want to be able to get it on-the-go!

This month's charity is Teen Vgn, who support young vegans and have founded a vegan summer camp for 11-17 year olds! I wish they'd been around when I was a teen!

The recipe this month is a gorgeous looking aquafaba chocolate mousse from Crazy Vegan Kitchen. Aquafaba really is amazing stuff. I'm definitely going to have to try it in mousse!

  1. Try Tg Green Tea, Mrs. Hatter......you just might change your mind!! We've spent time concocting special hot & chilled brews for folks who think green tea is uuuuurggghhhh! I was just like you before I tried Tg (read more about it here - http://www.drinktg.com/drink-green-tea-me-yuck-yes-you-can-why-you-should/). You probably don't know we also have a hot green tea range that won a couple of Great Taste Awards.....jus' saying!

    1. Hi Sophia

Thanks for your comment, I'll definitely bear that in mind :)
